Rob and Linda are our neighbors and live nearby in South Beaverton. They are at the stage in life where they’re thinking about the future. While they’re both still working and not yet retired, they are good planners. Ultimately, they decided to stay in their beautiful, single-level home and invest in it to make the space into what they need. Their 1,417 square foot house sits on a 0.39-acre lot, features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and was built in 1979. They have the property to make the home larger by adding their own suite on to the home. They’re keeping the other three bedrooms intact because they entertain often and have family visit from Canada. Now their guests can have their own space to stay. They’re also planning to age-in-place, so creating 32” openings and using easy-cleaning surfaces is very important to the design plan.
