Our Design Team has noticed a wave of green inspiration at many of our client’s projects. Green is the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy. The color is also associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety and environment. So it’s no wonder that many people chose this palette when approaching a remodel.
From painted islands, wall paint, granite selections, and tile designs, accents of greens are popping up more and more in kitchen and bathroom design.
Soothing Greens in the Master Bathroom
Our featured Beaverton master bathroom project, Equestrian Estate, features a sophisticated color palette and natural materials that utilize shades of green.
The movement of the tiles behind the shower plumbing emulate a waterfall with the decorative tile stripe design. Natural, flat pebbles border the shower pan and make the spacious walk-in shower feel like an oasis.
The bathroom now exudes a soothing feel. To pick up on the home’s surroundings, we brought in natural, sage greens which have a spa-like, calming effect and also complement the buttery painted cabinetry. We added painted wainscoting with a 6-inch band of decorative glass tile inset to incorporate the vanity and shower tile design. A sit-down makeup counter sits in front of the window slightly lower than the main vanity’s height. The Typhoon Green slab granite blends beautifully with the other natural materials in the space.
Portland Master Bathroom, Serene Surroundings, features a cool backsplash that complements the granite.
Rich Greens in the Kitchen
In the Portland kitchen remodel, Earthy Revival, a showstopping green granite sets the tone for the space.
