How we spent our summer vacation

Summer is a busy time of year! We kept ourselves busy with multiple projects in design and construction, but we managed to find some time to squeeze in some fun too. With warm weather, adventures, and extra time with family, our team has been soaking up all that summer has to offer. Look at what we’ve been up to.

A few fishing trips!

Robert catching some bass on the Umpqua River.

Ivan catching bass for the first time!

Chad and Krieg with Cutting Edge Cabinets on their annual fishing trip!

Chad, project manager
“I flew to California with my son so he could attend a summer camp at Woodward West, then picked up my wife in LAX to spend the remainder of the week in Santa Monica area. We flew home and spent the second week at Manzanita on the Oregon Coast. We also sent our 15 year old daughter to Germany for 3 weeks with her teacher and students from school.”

Lyndy, receptionist
“I took a Seattle trip with my son and five of his friends.”

Ivan and Lee, project developers
“We spent some time kayaking on the Willamette River!”

Jean, designer
“My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in a home up at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches for a few days. We saw deer and a bald eagle right near the house. For a day trip, we drove up to Timberline Lodge and had a wonderful lunch and was amazed at how busy the parking lot was with ‘summertime skiers’ and of course mountain hikers from all over the world. The historical lodge is always a treat to walk through and you feel such a presence of the old-world craftsmen & women who built this during the post-depression era. I love the artwork on display, and we stopped in to watch the movie documentary again to help remember what a momentous project this was.”

Sierra, designer
“My husband and I stayed at the Oregon Coast for a week in June. We walked past this garage that was covered in buoys. It was so cool how the owner used found objects as art.”

Alicia, marketing manager, with Ivan and Lee, project developers
“We attended the Chris Stapleton concert and found out that Ivan owned a cowboy hat.”

Jocelyn, bookkeeper
“We’ve been out camping a few times this year with our family.”

Robert and Heather Wood, owners
“We took an Alaskan cruise and spent the week admiring the scenery and adventuring when we pulled into port.”

How did you spend your summer? What should we add to our bucket lists for next year?
