X-FACTOR UPGRADES
The decision to renovate or move is always a tough one. Our homeowners considered moving to a new home, but their current home, located on a quiet street in a neighborhood they love, won out. The owners craved a more sophisticated look and invested in a major renovation to transform their 1999 home to reflect their current style. In the master bathroom, the existing footprint was modified to make room for an expanded tile shower and freestanding tub. The crisp palette, updated fixtures, and mix of finishes bring elegance to the space.
Challenges
- Narrow neighborhood street caused congestion for the busy jobsite
Solutions
- Modified the layout to remove wall separating the shower
- Created private water closet
- Expanded the tile shower; glass walls allow natural light to flow through
- Replaced large, tiled tub with a sleek, freestanding tub
- Removed bathroom carpet and installed porcelain tile and radiant floor heat

Hear from the Homeowner
“We really enjoyed the hands off feeling after the design process was complete. It felt like we handed over control of our home to Mountainwood Homes, and they had it all under control. It was such a great feeling to know that we didn't have to carry the burden of the project on our shoulders. We also really enjoyed seeing a busy upcoming week in BuilderTrend and then walking onto the job site and seeing numerous trades working simultaneously.”
