Creative Flow

Location: Beaverton, OR

Space for all the cooks in the kitchen.

The small kitchen in this 1983 Beaverton home needed to be functional for two cooks. The existing kitchen layout was squeezed into a small space, creating a fragmented floor plan. When everything started to break down, the couple knew it was time to remodel the kitchen and make it more usable. With some creative rearranging, the kitchen was relocated to the unused formal living room for more space. The original kitchen became a dedicated laundry room with space for a walk-in pantry. The massive transformation created a better overall flow; all spaces are useful and fit the family’s lifestyle.
