Mountainwood is my home away from home. We really are a family, supporting and learning from one another every day. Our clients notice and appreciate this unique camaraderie because it naturally overflows into the teamwork and care we bring to their projects.

About

Alison has always been drawn to the details that make a space—or an experience—feel special.

“You might not be able to put your finger on exactly why a room feels welcoming, comfortable, or memorable. It just does. One of my favorite questions to ask clients is, ‘How do you want to feel when you walk into this room?’ because the answer often becomes the foundation for the entire design.”

Before joining Mountainwood Homes, Alison spent years helping people plan weddings, corporate events, and other meaningful life moments. While the setting has changed, the goal remains the same: creating environments that bring people together and support the way they want to live.

Her background in event planning taught her how to juggle countless details, think on her feet, and guide people through important decisions with confidence. Those same skills continue to shape her approach to design today.

“Remodeling can be emotional, and I never lose sight of that. One of the questions I ask clients most often is, ‘How are you doing?’ or ‘Are you feeling settled with this decision?’ I love helping people navigate the process with confidence and clarity so they can enjoy the journey as much as the finished space.”

Alison knew Mountainwood Homes was special the first time she visited during a design school field trip. Today, she values being part of a collaborative team with decades of collective knowledge and experience.

“The best part of my job is working with such a talented group of people. There is always someone willing to share an idea, answer a question, or help solve a challenge.”

Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband, Shawn, their two rescue dogs, and whenever possible, their two grown children. She loves staying active outdoors in every season, escaping to Bend whenever she can, and getting lost in a good book.
