About
Project Manager Bruce Parshall has nearly 30 years of experience in the remodeling industry, bringing a wealth of hands-on experience and problem-solving expertise to every project. A lifelong Oregonian, he grew up in Eugene and earned a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Oregon. Though he once planned to become a stockbroker, his interest in city planning and dislike of sitting behind a desk led him in a different direction. What started as a year off turned into a decade in Alaska, where he spent summers commercial fishing and winters as a ski instructor at Willamette Pass.
His interest in construction began early, as he acted as an apprentice on a home addition his parents built and spent hours in high school woodshop. After leaving Alaska, he got into remodeling work in Eugene before moving to Portland in the late 1990s. He worked for a luxury remodeler before joining the Mountainwood Homes team, where his experience, team-player mentality, and easy presence around the office made him a natural fit with our culture.
What Bruce enjoys most about his work is that no two days or jobs are ever the same. He thrives on the challenge of problem-solving, easing clients’ worries, and ensuring every project runs smoothly. “Even though the end goal is the same, getting there is different with each job,” he says. “At Mountainwood, we have our systems dialed, from job preparation and pre-construction meetings to decision-making and support. There’s always someone available to answer questions or bounce ideas off.”
When he’s not on the jobsite, Bruce enjoys spending time at his family’s lake house, where he still loves to waterski. As a former windsurfer turned winter sports enthusiast, you can find him skiing at Mt. Hood, Mt. Bachelor, or his favorite spot: Sun Valley. Bruce also enjoys time with his 23-year-old son, a recent college graduate, and his 31-year-old stepdaughter.
