About
Gaspar Gonzalez has spent the past 10 years as a Craftsman at Mountainwood Homes, where his versatility, experience, and positive attitude have made him a valued part of the team. Known for always being willing to jump in and help wherever needed, Gaspar brings decades of hands-on experience across a wide range of trades and project types.
Gaspar began working at just 16 years old after coming to the United States, taking on all kinds of physically demanding jobs including picking blackberries, raspberries, cherries, and onions, as well as milking cows. Over the years, he learned a wide range of trades including landscaping, framing, maintenance, plumbing, masonry, welding, and outdoor construction projects like ponds, patios, decks, and fences. Today, he still enjoys taking on new challenges and solving problems onsite.
His path to Mountainwood Homes started through longtime teammate and Project Manager David Bonfiglio, whom he met while working in landscaping 25 years ago. After years of labor-intensive outdoor work, Gaspar was ready for a change and followed David into remodeling and construction. Since joining Mountainwood, he has become someone teammates regularly look to for guidance, support, and problem-solving onsite.
“There isn’t anything Gaspar can’t do,” says Field Production Manager Cory Richardson. “He really is a Jack of all trades; he’s done a little of everything. The whole group looks up to him. Whenever he’s onsite, the team looks to him for guidance.”
Gaspar says he enjoys every part of the job and takes pride in being resourceful and dependable. Outside of work, music and family are a huge part of his life, and he enjoys supporting his children at their live performances whenever he can. He also enjoys watching nature and travel shows and jokes that television has already taken him all over the world.
