Jose Gonzalez

Jose Gonzalez is a Craftsman at Mountainwood Homes and the older half of Mountainwood’s well-known brother duo alongside his younger brother, Tino. The two are almost always found working side-by-side on jobsites, bringing consistency, teamwork, and decades of hands-on experience to every project. As Jose likes to joke, “My brother is my shadow.”

With more than 40 years of construction experience, Jose has worked in construction “all his life” and brings that knowledge, steadiness, and reliability into every home he works in. Known for his quiet and dependable nature, he is the kind of craftsman who keeps moving, stays focused, and gets the job done. Clients appreciate his calm presence, strong work ethic, and the care he brings into their homes each day.

One thing that stands out most about Jose is the respect he has for clients’ homes. As Tino says, “Jose cares for people’s property. Always watching to keep their house the way it is.” Whether he’s protecting finishes, keeping a jobsite clean, or carefully working through a complicated detail, Jose takes pride in treating every home with care and attention.

Jose joined the Mountainwood team in 2014 and genuinely enjoys the variety that comes with remodeling. When asked what he likes most about the job, his answer is simple: “I like everything.” He especially enjoys working alongside his brother and the rest of the Mountainwood team. Over the years, Jose has become a trusted resource on the jobsite. Teammates know they can count on him, and as he says with a smile, “I like working with Cory – if someone calls Cory, he’ll tell them to, ‘Ask Jose.’”

Polite, hardworking, and always carrying a smile, Jose is known for making people feel comfortable and respected. Whether he’s greeting you with a handshake or helping a teammate on the jobsite, he brings a quiet positivity and professionalism everywhere he goes.

Outside of work, Jose enjoys playing basketball and relaxing at home.
