About
As a designer, Sarah Peek brings creativity, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship to every project she touches. With seven years of experience in the remodeling industry, she approaches each home with the goal of creating something personal, thoughtful, and lasting for the homeowners who live there.
Her first job was at an ice cream shop, surrounded by every color of the rainbow. Today, she encourages homeowners to explore color with confidence, helping them find the right balance so it feels intentional and true to their home.
Before interior design, Sarah ran her own business for eight years creating handcrafted guitar and camera straps. That experience working with textiles and leather gave her a strong foundation in craftsmanship and construction, which continues to influence her work today. She enjoys understanding how what’s behind the walls impacts the final design.
At Mountainwood Homes, Sarah thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with teammates to bring each project to life. She values the different strengths and talents within the team and believes the best results come from combining different perspectives. Fun, creative, and adaptable, she brings a thoughtful approach to every project.
If she could describe her role in her own words, she’d call herself a “design fairy godmother,” and finds the most fulfillment in improving how clients live in and experience their homes every day.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Sarah now calls Southeast Portland home, where she lives in the Richmond neighborhood with her husband and their two Australian labradoodles, Joni and Willamina. She enjoys working on her 1927 bungalow, exploring local shops and restaurants, and heading to the coast. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, relaxing in a hot tub, and long walks with her dogs. If she ever won the lottery, she’d restore historic movie theaters.
